Deskside/IT Support

The role is with our US client that supplies equipment, services and software for the manufacture of semiconductor chips for electronics, flat panel displays for computers, smartphones and televisions, and solar products, based in Maynooth, Co. Kildare. 
It is initially 12-month, full-time role contract with a strong view for extension for a further few years. Successful candidates will be working onsite in the office based in Maynooth city. It is Mon-Friday role, 8 hours a day. 

Key Skills Requirement

  • Experience with Office hardware and hardware troubleshooting
  • Level 2 support - Desktop, Hardware
  • Application support for Windows 10 and Office 365 experience
  • Tickets management experience
  • Service Now ticketing system experience or similar ticketing systems.
  • Experience supporting local installations.
  • Experience working on Desktop or Deskside support laptops, PC's, mobile devices.
  • Tech refresh for data transfer (Relevant training will be provided in the role)
  • Laptop imaging/Refresh experience
  • Experience with SCCM is an advantage


Role Specification:

  • Support customers located in Ireland and remote users in the UK
  • User provisioning and deprovisioning
  • Hardware management (receiving/shipping, imaging, asset management in CMDB)
  • Software install, OS Windows/Linux, Office365, Remote Software, Citrix and installation of business applications
  • Hardware and peripheral support including printers, scanners, mobiles
  • Support process following our incident guidelines (using Applied's ServiceNow ticket system. Metrics: incident response and resolution SLA and customer satisfaction criteria)
  • Manage tickets in accordance to the defined SLA's
  • Resolve customer issues and perform technical troubleshooting when required
  • Collaboration with Service Desk and other Applied GIS support groups globally
  • Perform local "Smart-Hands" role to facilitate help needed from other GIS support groups
  • SCCM Software deployment/installation
  • Support on Mobility devices including iOS & Android on MDM
