Join us as a Data Scientist 
You will have a strong technical background and the ability to identify solutions and lead data science projects. You will be fluent in translating analysis into business value and marketable objects and an excellent communicator. You'll come with a strong academic and commercial background, adept at stakeholder management and with a strong catalogue of added value analysis projects delivered.

As well as excellent technical skills, the ideal candidate will have strong commercial and business acumen and people leadership skills. You will manage a small team of data scientists and analysts and hold responsibility for a focus area for the department. The successful candidate can expect to split their time evenly between technical and management.

Thought leader with strong market awareness and adept at identifying methods and use cases that can translate across verticals, contributing to the overall strategy for the department
Performing deep-dive analyses that help drive agile, data-driven decisions on important issues facing the business
Working cross-functionally to identify actionable insights from our rich data sources and create new tools to support the business need to drive value from our data
Building predictive and prescriptive models that are focused on impacting core KPIs across the breadth of telco verticals
Creating segmentations that allow us to better understand our customer base and what we can do to serve them better
Domain expertise, leading to proactive identification of use cases and activities to benefit the team and the business
Working in an agile manner, constantly seeking the most efficient methods to deliver against business objectives, delivering rapid insights and proof of concepts to stakeholders
Conduct performance management & regular reviews and feedback sessions with team. Ensure appropriate training & development of team members
Recommending strategy and actively contributing to the development of the department, setting goals and objectives for their area of responsibility and the development of the end to end strategy to deliver on those goals and objectives.
Strong stakeholder management capabilities

Demonstrable experience of predictive modelling and clustering techniques in a commercial
environment
Time series analysis and machine learning expertise with deep understanding of classical and new data analysis methods and the ability to identify the ideal approach to individual projects from a range of model types & methods (Ensemble, Random Forest, Neural Networks, Naive Bayes, OLS, Linear & Logistic regressions, SVM etc.)
Experience with supervised and unsupervised learning methods for model build and deployment
Knowledge of a wide range of statistical techniques, ANOVA, Regression, GLM, ARIMA etc.  and clearly explains those concepts to stakeholders and draws appropriate inferences
Skilled in a number of statistical programming languages such as in R, Python, Scala, other
Expert level SQL
Strong problem-solving skills and adept at identifying solutions to use cases
Skilled in effective data visualisation, constantly working to improve the use of visualisations to supplement and enhance analytical outputs
Capability to work with autonomy and in partnership with other Data Scientists to find solutions to complex problems
Exposure to deep learning frameworks such as Tensorflow, CNN, CNTK a plus
Experience in a Big Data environment desirable: Exposure to Cloudera or Hortonworks, having used tools within the Apache Ecosystem Hadoop Core such as: - HDFS, Yarn, MapReduce, Spark, Hive, Apache Nifi, Oozie, HBase, Ambari, Cloudera Manager, Kakfa etc.
Previous experience at manager level is desirable. People management experience which should include motivation skills, setting objectives, coaching for performance, giving feedback
