About the team

Deloitte’s Risk Advisory department are expanding their Data Protection capabilities to meet the growing Data Protection demands of its clients. The Data Privacy Services team of Deloitte Risk Advisory offers a variety of services designed to support our clients across the end-to-end lifecycle of personal data, data management and demonstrating the key benefits of a strong privacy culture. We work with clients across all industries (Technology, Consumer, Financial Services, Public Sector etc.). Based on unprecedented demands for our services and the rapid increase in Data Protection demands, we are looking to recruit a strong individual at Senior Manager level to join our expanding team.

The Opportunity

Deloitte has an excellent career opportunity for a Senior Manager to work in the Data Privacy Service line within the Risk Advisory department of our Dublin office. You will be given the opportunity for personal development and on-going training towards completion of a relevant qualification.

Working as a Senior Manger on data protection engagements, you will work and manage a team that delivers a wide range of privacy and data protection offerings.

The role will include:

• Leading out on privacy engagements; to include (but not limited to) Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), Policy Framework creation and implementation, Data Maturity Framework creation and implementation, Data Retention and Destruction projects including Data Management, Privacy by Design implementation together with the creation of training and awareness and delivery of same;
• Managing and developing junior colleagues and supporting the growth of the team;
• Working with and managing relationships with client staff at all levels;
• Supporting the Director by taking a lead role in growing our Data Privacy business including:
  • identifying new opportunities in the market
  • developing strong relationships with existing and new clients
  • creation of methodologies and approaches to support our clients privacy needs;
• Ability to scope projects and solutions based upon specific client requirements;
• Working with the wider Deloitte European and global Data Privacy network;
• Developing your network in the local Privacy community;
• Creating and contributing to thought leadership on Data Privacy topics as well as presenting to various audiences internally and externally.

• At least 8 years’ experience in the provision of data protection and privacy services with a relevant data protection qualification.
• Experience and understanding of Privacy Technologies.
• Experience in managing and leading a team of professionals.
• Experience engaging with Supervisory Authorities.
• Ability to drive growth in our business including identifying new opportunities in the market and developing relationships with existing and new clients.
• Desire to develop data privacy related service lines, across sectors and specialisms.
• Flexible and proactive approach to working and enthusiastic and committed to ongoing development.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a larger team.
• Ability to communicate effectively to senior stakeholders.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Enthusiastic about being part of the wider Risk Advisory team and supporting by contributing firm-wide.
