Data Migration Project Manager

HPE Financial Services (HPEFS) is looking for a highly experienced IT Project Manager to lead the subprojects under transformation of our financing systems platform. We need someone with a proven track record of leading multiple large ERP and/or financial systems implementations from program setup through to successful completion. This individual will direct, manage, lead, and coordinate subproject transformation workstream from start to finish, orchestrating across all program dependent workstreams, teams, and stakeholders to ensure successful program implementation. The scope of this program includes the replacement of the legacy platform that supports the credit underwriting, account servicing, and finance areas of the Asset Financing business with an industry leading solution owned by the 3rd Party Vendor (Odessa) and integration of this package with the overall HPEFS ecosystem (e.g. Master Data, SFDC, MSD365, etc). The program will be managed in partnership with Odessa and other SIs and is being structured in a way that we have an “umbrella” team responsible for the overall transformation definitions and decisions and multiple other workstreams that will be managed as independent projects but need to be coordinated to ensure alignment with overall program objectives (e.g. multiple functional pods, multiple boundary applications Integrations, Data & Reporting Workstream, Testing Workstream and Data Migration Workstream). The primary role of the Project Manager is to deliver the assigned subprojects as part of the overall program in line with schedule, cost, quality, and scope commitments.

Key responsibilities and expectations include:

  • Daily project governance throughout the life cycle
  • Build and maintain a strong project plan with clear schedule, scope, cost and resource plan
  • Accountable to the organization sponsoring project for Scope & Schedule
  • Manage risks and issues and propose/drive corrective actions
  • Collaborate with governance bodies and sponsors to ensure continued alignment to expected outcomes
  • Partner to manage stakeholder expectations
  • Develop project goals and plans to meet those goals
  • Use project management tools to track project performance and schedule adherence

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 10+ years’ experience leading large scale Data Migration projects and/or programs
  • Experience with project implementing and building ETLs in Informatica tool
  • Experience with complex data reconciliation between legacy systems and new platform
  • PMP certification desirable
  • SCRUM certification desirable
  • Microsoft Azure hands on experience preferred
  • Ability to plan and manage complex projects/programs (Schedule, Scope, Cost, Resources estimations)
  • Ability to manage multiple project/workstreams at the same time
  • Experience with Agile and Waterfall methodology
  • Experience with JIRA, MS Project Server tools
  • Strong financials skills to control resource plan and budget (Actuals, Forecast, etc)
  • Advanced computer skills and in-depth knowledge of different operating systems, network administration and service desk administration
  • Project management and leadership skills for managing projects and the teams involved with them
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to coordinate with team members and management and explain technical issues
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills to handle any issues that occur during project completion
  • Organization and time management skills to keep projects on track and within budget
  • Excellent resource planning and task scheduling skills
  • Recognized authority internally and externally on leading-edge technologies, theories, or techniques.
