D2C Senior Developer

As a D2C Senior Developer within the eCommerce team, you will work with Solution Architects and Product Managers in defining and implementing and improving software solutions. You will be overlooking the work of an external development team that is working with you on the different projects. As a senior developer you will also be responsible to ensure software development best practices will be implemented and adhered internally but also by external partners.

YOUR NEW KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Designing and developing front end website architecture and functionalities on Salesforce Commerce Cloud (ensuring cross-platform optimization for mobile devices and responsiveness of application)
  • Designing and developing back-end website applications and functionalities
  • Manage SaaS eCommerce resources (Code repository management, Code branch strategy , Code compliance and release strategy)
  • Work closely with Solution Architect on new functionalities and solutions architecture
  • Overseeing/Work closely with external partnersā€˜ development team to ensure best-practices are applied and software development is done in the most efficient way
  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers on web design of new features and pages
  • Supporting project teams from conception to finished product
  • Designing and developing APIs and other integration points with backend applications (e.g. ERP, CRM)
  • Ensure and monitor development service performance
  • University Degree in a relevant area
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in the development of customer- or consumer-facing ecommerce systems across multiple technology domains
  • Relevant experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud (ex Demandware) is a must
  • Strong skill base in front and backend open web development technologies including:
    • JavaScript, HTML, CSS
    • JavaScript frameworks (e.g. React.js, AngularJS, Amber)
    • Python, Ruby, Java, PHP, and .Net
  • Experience with Object-Oriented Design (OOD)
    • Mobile technologies (Android or iOS) will be considered as an advantage
    • Salesforce Apex development knowledge and experience will be considered as an advantage
  • Strong quality-based work ethic including testing and deployment practices.
  • Good Retail/Consumer Commercial business process awareness 
    Proven ability to work in a multi-cultural environment
  • Strong communication and influencing skills
  • English proficiency
