Aspira is looking for a Blockchain Developer to join the team for a 12 month contract with an international client. This is a remote role.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Research and spec out ideas for innovative blockchain applications.
• Collaborate with marketing and technical writers to write blog posts and other marketing material about new product ideas.
• Design and develop blockchain application proof of concepts,
• Comfortable designing and developing blockchain-related microservices and APIs.
• Plan and execute performance tests.
• Work with the team and partners to meet specification needs in line with business objectives.
• Improve Blockdaemon's product and ensure successful delivery to our customers.

Skills and Required Qualifications:

• Practical experience building blockchain nodes
• Experience building APIs
• Experience with payments / Financial Service
• Proficient with at least one non-smart contract programming language. Ideally Golang, Rust or similar language.
• Prior experience with Ethereum, Cosmos-SDK and Tendermint, Polkadot and Substrate and/or Solana. For example:
  • Has worked on a Blockchain client or Parachain using one of the above technologies
  • Has worked on influential projects in the above ecosystems
  • Has written smart contracts in one of the above ecosystems
• Experience with Linux server environments.
• Ability to work independently debugging problems across the full stack.
• Minimum of 1 year professional or open source experience working with the above

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience developing, deploying and maintaining blockchain nodes huge plus!
• Familiar with cloud infrastructure technology (AWS, GCE, Azure, etc).
• Previous experience in a RnD role is a bonus
• Knowledge of cryptocurrency /token-economics
• Self-motivated and detail oriented while producing high-quality and accurate work in a startup environment
