My South Dublin based client is looking for a Tester with experience in Selenium / Java to join on a 1-year fixed term contract as a result of maternity leave. After the year, there may be an opportunity to be extended or made permanent, depending on business needs.
*There may also be another opportunity for someone to join as a daily rate contractor for 3 months while we fill the fixed term contract so those candidates may also apply*
Job Responsibilities
- Understanding Test Requirements and analyzing the Application.
- Generating Test Cases (Test Scripts) using Selenium Element locators and WebDriver API Commands.
- Enhancing Test Cases using Java Programming.
- Debugging Test Cases and Fixing Errors.
- Executing/Running Test Cases
- Defect Reporting & Tracking
- Test Reporting
- Supporting our External customers with API issues and report on bugs or issues.
- Support Business Testing
- Building/Developing/Testing/Rollout of updates for our systems
- Utilizing our issue tracking tool to log bugs and/or enhancement requests
Experience Required
- More than 1-year Selenium coding experience and strong Java skills
- Experience in Application Support/Test Development and/or Test Automation roles
- Strong knowledge and understanding of SDLC and concepts
- Familiarity with web services standards: XML, XML Schema, SOAP, WSDL
- Familiarity with Linux, Mysql, LAMP stack, Git/Subversion
Essential and Desirable Skills
- Java/Selenium skills
- JQuery knowledge
- WordPress knowledge/Jira/Confluence/Stash
- Tomcat/Apache
Educational Requirements
- BS in Computer Science or related field.
- 9:00am – 5:30pm, Monday to Friday
