 Please note that if successful in securing this position you would be contracted to the new company legal entity, a subsidiary of BT Group.

This role provides advanced analytical expertise on negotiations in high risk, high value deals managed by category and B2B teams. This role would be expected to propose improvement opportunities on such deals and work closely with procurement and the CFU / CU (Customer facing unit/ Corporate unit) stakeholders to ensure an optimal contractual set up and supplier relationship management.

You'll have the following responsibilities

  • Drive and deliver intelligence, providing expert opinions in solving BT’s complex problems related to end to end source to pay and supply chain
  • Deliver the negotiation analytics vision with relation to data – what data supports what process and how will we mine this to create insights and case for change
  • Be an expert and SME in the field of data science and mining data with the ability to resolve complex problems and deliver strong solutions
  • Manage the negotiation intelligence strategy and support capability for Procurement stakeholders, to enable performance tracking and reporting, appropriate recommendations and continuous improvement
  • Manage senior relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, ensure continuous alignment
  • Manage, develop and coach a team of procurement professionals
  • Significant experience in data science and mathematical / statistical expertise
  • Extensive experience in an intelligence area, ideally experience in developing own data science tools/ technologies or contributing to existing methodologies
  • Advanced experience in visualisation and simulation tools, scenario modelling, cost / benefit analysis
  • In-depth understanding of the linkage between data and transformation
  • Strong relationship management skills with the ability to influence decision making with senior stakeholders within a matrixed environment
  • Strong continuous improvement skills with a track record of delivering continuous improvement that exceeds customer expectations
