We are looking for an Inventory Control Manager to join the logistics team of Hiab on a fixed-term contract. This position is responsible for the effective control, monitoring of all inventory held by MAU (Multi-assembly unit) to ensure sufficient stock on hand to support Manufacturing to maintain optimum on hand inventory and accuracy for the site.
This position reports to Logistics Manager and is part of Hiab’s Truck Mounted Forklifts Division. The location of this position is Dundalk, Ireland.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
- Responsibility for the monitoring of all types of Inventory owned by the MAU
- Responsible for daily monitoring and closure of backflush issues and detailed RCCA (Root Cause & Corrective Action)
- Responsible for the management of excess / obsolete material - annual / quarterly review with XFT - Planning / Finance / Engineering departments
- Responsible for the implementation of the correct & timely ECN (Engineering Change Notice) & NPI (New Product Introduction) dispositions affecting inventory levels
- Ensure all LN (ERP System) inventory movements and adjustments are up to date - transactions completed real time
- Monitor pick rates by run / picker daily - escalate manual picks / non-conformance etc. (WH - Owner)
- Owner for Inventory reporting including projected inventory levels versus actual for all warehouses - inventory value / day's on hand and motley reporting
- Implement a Perpetual cycle Counting on a daily basis, KPI - adherence to plan – A Class Items – 1 / month, B Class items 1 / Quarter, C Class items annually, Target Cycle Count accuracy per MAU agree targets annually.
- Lead troubleshooting, deep dive activities and the implementation of corrective actions to prevent recurrence, variance approval and control.
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in relevant discipline
- Experience in assembly-to-order environment is important.
- Previous experience of SAP/LN/Baan (or equivalent ERP system) in a materials management capacity would be a key requirement.
