Role

Due to continued growth and opportunities to support our clients, we are currently seeking to hire a Technology Risk Associate Director who will join our Risk Consulting team in Dublin.

We are specifically interested in hearing from experienced IT Audit and IT Risk professionals working in various sectors or another professional services firm who have an interest in a Consulting role in KPMG.

In this role you will be part of a team responsible for assurance, design and implementation of a broad range of IT risk focused objectives, including but not limited to IT Governance including compliance with laws and regulations; Third-party risk management; Cloud Security and IT Security including safeguarding of assets and reliability and integrity of processes.

The successful candidate should have a minimum of 7 years’ experience with 1+ years at Senior Manager level, or equivalent.

Your work will be varied.  Below will be some of your core responsibilities:

  • Information system reviews: assessment of IT risks and controls, including general controls environment and automated controls embedded within information systems environment as part of a KPMG audit or advisory engagement
  • Information systems and controls: verifying that optimal controls relating to major systems and their implementation are in place and operating effectively from a general control and security perspective
  • Information reliability: assuring stakeholders of information reliability through IT risk assessment, benchmarking and due diligence
  • System implementation and conversion: advising on conversion issues and IT project management risks and controls
  • Manage a portfolio of clients and lead the delivery of high-quality consulting advice and service to those clients
  • Simultaneously manage multiple client engagements of varying size, scope and complexity
  • Develop and management of engagement and project plans to support engagement profitability
  • Manage deliverables and expectations as well as review the quality of the fieldwork and deliverables prepared by more junior team members to ensure that deliverables meet KPMG quality standards
  • Develop a network of contacts and maintain a relationship with them on a regular basis, both formally and informally, for the purposes of business development
  • Professional qualifications and proven experience in IT/ Information Security, Internal Audit, Risk or Compliance roles
  • Experience in leading teams and managing multiple pieces of work / projects concurrently
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, drive, enthusiasm and commitment.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritise, at times, conflicting priorities
  • Good written and verbal communication and presentation skills, teamwork, and client relationship skills
  • A broad range of knowledge and understanding on wider commercial, business and economic issues
  • Experience of client-facing roles and experience in engaging with senior stakeholders in organisations
  • Experience in high quality delivery to tight timescales
