Corporate roles

Director, Head of Twitter Next, EMEA

Partnering with the most iconic brands around the world, the Twitter Next team produces campaign activations that are audience-led, insights-driven, measurable - and ultimately create memorable experiences for people on Twitter. We care deeply about user experiences and we design creative solutions that offer utility and elicit delight in order to deliver against marketers’ objectives and KPIs.

As Director, Twitter Next EMEA, you will report to Twitter’s VP, Global Head of Twitter Next - where you will coach and lead an established and cross-functional team distributed across the EMEA region - working closely with Twitter’s sales teams and collaborating across a wide range of departments to bring innovative ideas and specialized brand consultation to advertisers and their creative, media, and social agency partners.

Twitter Next’s EMEA Director sets the vision for the team, staying ahead of marketing trends and managing a diverse, growing, and distributed team to ensure adequate resources and strategies for success are in place.

You are a senior-level marketer and strategic thinker who communicates well and can coach and surface “big idea” solutions from your teams at scale.

You are a unique blend of marketing and business acumen, raw creative ability, and operational excellence. You are comfortable engaging and influencing C-Suite clients on the brand and agency side, and can speak the disparate languages of both analytical brand managers and big-idea driven creative directors.

While leading the team operationally, you also crave opportunities to roll up your own sleeves to pitch and execute fast-moving brand activations with your team, and are able to toggle back and forth between fast-paced media sales teams and detail-oriented creative and technical personnel.

Your understanding and competitive knowledge of the brand, media, creative and social landscape is unparalleled in any room, with any audience, and you have an innate ability to adapt your approach and thinking based on specific, local market nuances - drawing from experience in previous roles.

You have empathy for the creative process yet you can build workflows that encourage information sharing at the benefit of everyone. In order to do this, you must have a sound understanding of the advertiser/creative agency/media agency dynamic as well as the ability to operate cross-functionally within Twitter - partnering with widely diverse groups ranging from sales, to product, to marketing, communications, business development, legal, finance and more.

You are removing barriers and bottlenecks in your everyday job. You do all of this while also being able to give sound advice on any adversity that may surface: creative block, ambiguity, work-load balancing, internal logistics -- you name it.

Your success metrics will be the level of innovation that you steward across the Twitter Next EMEA team, along with the marketplace recognition and revenue impact attributed to these programs. The best ideas are ones that get people talking - the ideas that come to fruition on, and sometimes beyond, Twitter - driving tangible ROI for our advertising partners.
