Sr Associate Manager, Environments Public Cloud

ABOUT THE TEAM
The Environments organisation is responsible for pushing new code to our existing customers, along with monitoring the health, performance and reliability of the Workday stack. The Public Cloud team is a specialised team within this organisation responsible for building, configuring, deploying and providing automated tooling to support the Workday application in Public Cloud.

As we continue to build new teams and functions to support our global growth, we are looking for a manager to lead a team of engineers dedicated to delivering best in class customer experience in the Public Cloud space, primarily on AWS and GCP. Our team are the Gatekeepers for change rolling out to our Production environments, and we automate cluster buildouts, validation, patch deployment, and other operational tasks.

  • Lead a group of Reliability Engineers, encourage, champion their work, guide them, and bring them to the next level
  • Schedule upcoming projects and balance workload across your team
  • Build relationships with other managers and leaders at Workday
  • Set priorities for team and assign resources
  • Recruit top talent and find growth opportunities for the whole team
  • Enhance the performance and skill set of your engineers by promoting mentoring and educational opportunities
