Verizon Connect produces the industry-leading fleet management solution Reveal, which enables customers all over the world to track their vehicles, equipment and field workers in real time to help our customers run safer, more efficient businesses.
We have an immediate need for a Senior UX Designer to join our Research and Development Team. Working in a cross functional team, you will be responsible for the UX research and design of a section of our product line. You’ll work closely with your Research, Product and Engineering colleagues to understand the needs of our users and deliver a design that our customers love. Our design team is involved in defining the hardware, packaging, the service design of our product as well as the user interface of our software on the Android, iOS and Web components of the Reveal platform. We are looking for an experienced UX designer to work as part of a cross functional team. You will report to a UX team Lead and as one of the senior members of the team you will be able to work with minimal supervision, and assist less experienced members of the team when required.

• Work with the Product and Research teams to build a strong understanding of your part of the product, the job it does for our users and how it is used.
• Deliver finished, well-documented designs to the engineers in good time.
• Plan and facilitate workshops to involve your cross functional team in the design process.
• Be the voice of the user on your team, ensuring that the products we deliver solve the right problems for our users in the right way.

You’ll need to have:

• Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience.
• Experience as a UX designer.
• Experience designing for both web and mobile applications.

Even better if you have:

• A strong ability in UI design, while not essential for this role.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• A portfolio that showcases your capabilities in the UX process and interaction design.
• A track record of delivering designs in good shape to the engineering team.
• Experience in the Design Thinking methodology and/or Design Sprints.
• Experience of Lean UX.
• A good understanding of UX research techniques and data analytics experience.
