Responsibilities

Citibank provides Middle Office services to a number of international clients utilizing its global presence and innovative technology platform. The Middle office department provides a comprehensive service designed to assist our clients’ fund managers in managing the fund’s investments. The key pillars of this service include trade lifecycle management, customized reporting, data provision and a real time day to day operational support network.

Team/Position Overview:
The OTC Middle Office department forms part of the wider Security Services Operations group and
provides a range of post-trade services to clients who invest in OTC derivatives securities. These services include trade affirmation / confirmation, cash-flow settlement, independent valuations, lifecycle
management, reconciliations, data feeds and regulatory reporting.

The OTC Middle Office department is comprised of two distinct teams – (1) the operational team who manage all day-to-day processes, client servicing, internal queries, oversight and operational risk (2) a dedicated “non-BAU” team who focus on client implementations, strategic product developments, client requested change, market / regulatory driven change and process optimization.


Responsibilities:

  • Work on global strategic projects predominantly around OTC Products and Operations Efficiency
  • Manage the on-boarding of new products from client requirements. This will include business analysis, writing requirements, testing and liaising directly with clients
  • Manage the creation of test scripts/cases for execution in User Acceptance Testing phases
  • Execute planned test cases, ensuring that all test results are correctly recorded against the system; in accordance with the prescribed test plan
  • Record any defects found during the testing process, reviewing existing defects raised and provide input into the business to enable effective prioritization
  • Provide regular updates to the PM and  TESTING TEAM
  • Work closely with Technology to determine product/process feasibility
  • Represent EMEA globally by interfacing with the vendor and other offices to ensure delivery of our key business requirements  with regard to performance and functionality
  • Where possible analyze, document, and make recommendations for any enhancements that need to be made to operating processes and flows

Qualifications:

  • Experience leading a major Change Request form the client or the Capital Market (e.g. LIBOR and RFR)
  • Experience and knowledge of OTC Products including OTC derivatives trade capture pricing
  • Experience working with cross functional teams including Accounting, OPS MO, Regulatory, Technology
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working with OTC derivatives
  • Comprehensive knowledge of OTC Derivatives theory and application across all asset classes
    **Strong Derivatives knowledge a must have & will be tested within the interview**
  • Experience of using Calypso is prerequisite for this role and knowledge of OTC Pricing would be a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively use complex analytical, interpretive and problem-solving techniques
  • Computer Skills: Advanced knowledge of MS applications (Excel, VBA, Word, PPT) a must. Experience of other computer programming languages (e.g. Java, Python, SQL, etc.)
  • Must be comfortable working in a logical manner
  • Experience in client delivery and operations.

Education:

  • Third-level qualification (Bachelor’s degree minimum)
  • Masters in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Quantitative Finance, or Economics is a plus.
