At Phorest we are looking for someone to transform the online booking and shopping experience for millions of our salon clients. Phorest Salon Software powers over 8,000 hair and beauty salons in the UK, Ireland, Germany, Australia, Finland and the USA and the platform processes 7 million appointments a month for hair and beauty consumers. Phorest is the number 1 salon software brand for premium independent salons in those markets. 

As a senior product designer in Phorest you are comfortable leading major product design projects, with little to no guidance. You are comfortable communicating and supporting your ideas on a company-wide level, and enjoy responsibility for significant areas of the product. 

Phorest’s Product, Design and Development teams are growing rapidly along with our customer base which will double over the next two years. We are now hitting a stage where we want to scale up even faster to meet the huge opportunities ahead of us. You will play a critical role in that success by joining our consumer tribe. You will be responsible for re-imagining the experience our salons clients have when interacting with Phorest products - online booking, ecommerce, vouchers, payments and more. 

You will be working alongside a product manager, a development lead and up to 4 other developers on your tribe. As the senior product designer for our consumer tribe you will be responsible for creating and implementing a design system, style and language that resonates with our salons clients, influencing and shaping all work on consumer facing features. You will collaborate with your tribe and the wider product team to solve customer’s problems in an innovative way.

• You’re comfortable with the responsibility of designing new features from initial discovery phase right through to shipping, while shaping a new interaction and visual design system, to be applied to both new and existing features.
• You have a passion for helping to mentor and guide more junior members of the design team.
• You like to challenge assumptions. While Phorest has a wealth of industry experience to tap into, with fresh eyes you will still want to validate ideas with our customers, many of which are right on our doorstep, or accessible through our very active community.
• You’re comfortable presenting your ideas and solutions both internally to other teams and externally to clients and stakeholders.
