Senior Product Analyst - Market Insights

WHERE YOUR EXPERTISE IS NEEDED

  • Provide clarity on big strategic topics by translating them into research questions, defining research plans that leverage the causal inference toolkit 
  • Design and perform A/B tests and other quasi-experimental designs for new features and business opportunities, analysing and deep-diving into the results to give recommendations. Following the scientific research process to provide well documented and reproducible results
  • Enable Product Managers to formulate testable hypotheses and coach them to grow their analytical capabilities.
  • Manage stakeholder interests and collaborate with other analytical teams across Zalando, while staying focused on the ultimate research goal
  • Develop in-depth analytical user understanding, define and monitor key performance metrics and help the product team improve them
  • Impact product decisions through presentation and data storytelling of data-based recommendations. 
  • Share best practices with analytics and product teams and the larger community

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Proven track record of 3+ years as a web or product analyst, ideally in a fast-paced e-commerce environment 
  • Strong educational background in Social Sciences (Economics, Political Science, Statistics, Epidemiology, Computer and information sciences, business analytics or similar quantitative field). Masters degree or higher preferred.
  • Proficient in data querying and transformation (SQL/Bigquery), statistical computing (Python/Jupyter Notebooks or R/R Markdown), and Git. Data storytelling using Tableau is a plus.
  • Sound knowledge of defining KPIs/success criteria used in e-commerce and how to apply them measuring impact via experimental (i.e. A/B Testing) and/or quasi-experimental designs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a detail oriented and self-starter mindset.
