Johnson Controls is looking to hire a Business Analyst to support the successful delivery of our digital programs across the EMEA region. The BA’s input is expected to review and define user journeys, business capabilities/requirements and processes with a strong steer for business process improvements/changes in order to fit in with industry best practices and stay within the boundaries of our out of the box product capabilities where applicable.

What you will do

• Business Analysts support alignment of Business and IT objectives, identify opportunities for process advancement leveraging technology, support creation of business capability and technology projects, translate business capabilities into functional requirements, analyse any gaps between as-is and to-be state and work with business stakeholders and IT Delivery teams to develop, test and deploy solutions.

• Support alignment of strategic and tactical business objectives with corresponding IT objectives, partnered with business stakeholders and enterprise IT colleagues.
• Identify opportunities for process advancement leveraging technology.
• Participate in ideation activities to create high-level process and technology roadmaps.
• Contribute into business case creation.
• Participate in the creation of IT Investment proposals, partnered with business stakeholders and IT Delivery colleagues.
• Map business objectives and capability needs to specific business functions and processes.
• Conduct discovery sessions and document user stories, business requirements, functions, processes, and enabling technologies.
• Map business process flows, including all critical data elements.
• Translate business capabilities and process designs into functional requirements and/or user stories and work with business stakeholders to review and secure sign-off/agreement on requirements/stories.
• Work with business stakeholders and IT colleagues throughout the project life cycle to meet business capability needs and ensure successful achievement of scope, cost, schedule, quality, adoption, and value outcomes.
• Provide expertise and input into solution testing scenarios and participate in Internal Quality Assurance and User Acceptance Testing.
• Participate in development of solution training material and execution of change management activities.
• Maintain relevant data attributes of solutions in the Configuration Management Database (CMDB).
• Support business continuity and disaster recovery efforts.
• Support utilization of IT-internal governance processes.

How you will do it

• Collaborate with customers to understand their business challenges and opportunities, and to help identify and prioritize their near and long-term goals.
• Help customers build a digital roadmap based on needs and desired outcomes.
• Manage multiple business & IT stakeholders throughout the program lifecycle, lead client requirements gathering workshops.
• Manage program business analysis documentation.
• Manage the review and sign-off process of all business analysis documentation.
• Transform complex business problems into product features and user stories.
• Work in a fast paced environment with other product managers, architects, and creative team members to ideate new features.
• Work closely with development and QA teams to ensure quality of deliverables.
• Define use cases along with the necessary detail and align them with the program plan
• Support delivery team in analyzing solution options or suggesting an alternative.
• Support preparing UAT scenarios.
• Analyses feedback from trials, tests and exceptions if any.
• Supports business project lead in developing roll out plans and business change activities.

• Experienced Business Analyst with at least 8 to 10 years of proven IT Agile project delivery participation.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of business process analysis and Business Change Management.
• Experience working with Developers and Business SMEs.
• Strong analytical skills and interpersonal skills to interact with various business process representatives.
• Strong process design documentation experience using flow charts (Visio, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, etc..).
• Ability to articulate business process requirements to a development team (and vice versa: IT requirements to the business) in order to support the implementation.
• Sound knowledge of project management practices and principals.
• Strong knowledge of data analysis and reporting.
• Great verbal and written communications skills. English language to a business proficiency level.
• Ability to travel within EMEA.

Preferred

• PMP or PRINCE 2 certification.
• Agile or Scrum certification
• Experience in process optimization/ standardization in complex matrix international organizations
• Experience in mapping business requirements to products in the IoT domain in buildings segment
• Knowledge or exposure to building energy management and facility management software.
• Knowledge or exposure to building management system, plant control system, lighting control system, etc...
• Basic concepts around Energy Usage and standards in Buildings Industry.
• Hands on experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau etc.
