Product Manager, Privacy Security and Compliance

We view security and privacy as a product strategy imperative at the portfolio level. We’re looking for a product manager to join our team with expertise at the intersection of privacy, security and product. As an ideal candidate, you bring technical- and product-level expertise in privacy and security concerns within the digital experience, customer data, web content and ecommerce domains spanning on-premise and cloud-based deployments.

You are proactive in understanding regulations and privacy features that impact our products and our customers’ digital solutions such as GDPR, CCPA, App Tracking Transparency, Intelligent Tracking Prevention and ISO security standards. You understand the implications of data residency and are guided by Privacy and Security by Design principles.

In short, you will act as a strategist and advocate for a product portfolio and roadmap that enables excellent care of customer data, anticipates industry change and ensures the highest values of privacy and security for our customers and their brand reputations. Your work will help elevate Sitecore’s profile as a proactive leader in care of data and trust-building.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive the continuous cultivation of product security and privacy vision across Sitecore’s portfolio of products; works cross-functionally to drive the implementation of that vision into product roadmap
  • Build a strong perspective and subject matter expertise on privacy and security-related industry trends and translate into perspectives relevant to product roadmap
  • Contribute to specification reviews and provide feedback and guidance to the product team
  • Help triage inbound product and technical questions relating to privacy and security, in collaboration with Legal, Operations and other departments
  • Working with the privacy and security teams to proactively design future product requirements addressing legislation and customer requirements that affect the product roadmap
  • Drive the product’s trust storyline and thought leadership in leveraging security and privacy as differentiators
  • Conduct internal and external customer research to understand unmet needs and pain points related to privacy and security
  • Understanding our products and approach to data, including explaining how we handle privacy, security and compliance at Sitecore to customers and other stakeholders.
  • Support the creation of customer-facing assets and materials to address product privacy, security and compliance requirements.

Sitecore is experiencing spectacular growth all over the world.

  • 5-7+ years’ experience in Product, Technical Program or Project Management, or similar role
  • BA/BS degree with concentration in a technical discipline is preferred
  • Technology knowledge and skills, capable of discussion at multiple levels about privacy, security and web/cloud technologies
  • Established knowledge of privacy and security regulations, compliance and requirements for commerce and digital experience software, ideally in a globally deployed SaaS environment
  • Familiarity with global data protection law and associated frameworks (GDPR, CCPA)
  • Knowledge with following frameworks would be a plus: APEC CBPR, HIPAA, AICPA Privacy Maturity Model, NIST frameworks, ISO frameworks, etc.
  • Nice to have: CIPT, CISSP or other relevant certifications for privacy and security
  • Demonstrated ability to translate policy and business requirements and work with various levels of business stakeholders to create innovative solutions
  • Experience with agile software development processes, requirements management and project management
  • Highly motivated to contribute and grow within a complex area of emerging importance
  • Excellent analytical abilities, organization and process management skills
  • Great at being a strong voice and getting results in complex, international organizations 
  • Demonstrate high degree of initiative and self-motivation
  • Comfortable meeting customers and partners in a global, multicultural context 
  • Strong interpersonal skills; the ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of individuals at all levels of the organization 
  • Effective formal presentation and facilitation skills in a variety of settings
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
