Project description

The role of European Payroll Representative reports to the European Payroll Supervisor and is a key member of the European Finance team, supporting the finance function in Galway, Limerick & across Europe. This role will be located in Galway. Xperi requires a highly professional and organized Payroll specialist who is IPASS Qualified and has payroll experience. Experience of Accounting in a multinational environment would be a distinct advantage. The successful candidate will be detailed and organized with experience in Payroll and General Ledger. The successful candidate will be highly proficient in the use of Sage Micropay, Microsoft Office applications and will have a working knowledge of financial ERP systems.

Here’s what you get to do:

  • Manage, prepare and process payroll for Irish entities
  • Manage the payroll process for Non-Irish locations; this involves coordination of communication between outside payroll provider and review of payroll
  • Liaising with HR department in relation to employee information
  • Reconcile payments in the areas of pension, medical insurance, Payroll taxes
  • Respond to all payroll queries as they arise in a timely manner and confidentially
  • Ensure compliance with SOX procedures and company handbook
  • Responsible for preparing payroll journals to ensure correct accounting and reconciliation of payroll balance sheet accounts
  • Month end reconciliations.
  • Support to the Global Xperi finance team on preparation of accurate and timely information. Assisting and providing back-up support for month/quarter/year end close.
  • Point of contact for internal and external audit queries.
  • Participation in process improvement and other projects.
  • Support to the local finance teams on specific and Ad-hoc duties.
  1. Qualifications:
  • Business Qualification to Degree or Diploma level.
  • IPASS Qualified
  • Qualified/part qualified Accounting Technician.
  1. Education and/or Experience:
  • Minimum of 2 years’ work experience post 3rd level qualification.
  • Payroll qualification / Accounting Technician or equivalent qualification preferred.
  • Prior experience in a similar role (Payroll, Accounts Payable) would be a distinct advantage.
  • Prior experience in a multinational environment would be an advantage.
  • Computer Skills:
  • Experience of Sage Micropay
  • Proficient in MS Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
  • Syspro (ideally) or similar ledger accounting package.
