Ops Analyst MKTS - Global Fees and Billing

Role Description:

  • Exciting opportunity available for a talented individual to work in a dynamic growing billing team. The Global Fees and Billing team are responsible for managing a wide variety of Third Party Billing reconciliations with focus on risk and exposure management for Global Markets products.
  • Opportunity for interaction with senior business leaders across various LOB’s and enhance strategic network exposure.
  • Key to success in the role will be the active participation not only in maintaining the day to day controls and risk management but also the ongoing work on process improvements, initiatives, regulatory and mandatory changes.
  • Opportunity to develop greater understanding as to how BAML operates as a whole, allowing for interaction with various operational teams as well as front office and finance.
  • Opportunity to create Operational excellence initiatives and enhance automation within the department.
  • Scope to lead on interdepartmental projects and initiatives eg: SFTR/CSDR, where fees and billing are a stakeholder in the change management process.
  • Enhance and develop working partnerships with off-shore GBS (Global Business Services) operational Teams to ensure alignment of business objectives.
  • Champion the exposure of the roles and responsibilities for the fees and billing team, across the campus and through engagement with various forums and workshops.
  • The successful candidate will have the opportunity to play a key role supporting our Stock Loan and Repo desk.
  • Direct responsibility for the implementation and execution of our Global Billing Operating Model
  • Analysis of reconciliation related functions across the group and developing a road-map for migration of functions to the Target Operating Model
  • Direct interaction with LOB stakeholders in support of the assessment process and business change requirements to create scalable solutions while being mindful of risk
  • Partner with management on inbound migrations as Billing scope and remit expand
  • Ensure that the most appropriate organisational structures, systems, procedures and controls are in place
  • Assesses personal and technical abilities of all the in scope teams
  • Understands and follows internal operations policies and procedures
  • Work in cooperation with stakeholders and senior management so that we manage and deliver on expectations

The successful candidate will be responsible for the oversight, quality control and governance of the Global Business Services processing team in India.  The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that relationships with the trading desks, COO group and finance are maintained.  The candidate will be expected to work with these partners to deliver on strategic change and ensure that the product is managed in a risk controlled environment.

The responsibilities will span billing for all Global Market products as well delivering the strategic vision of management.

  • Strong operations management experience
  • Knowledge of Global Market products or support functions (Operations) is helpful
  • Stock Loan Product knowledge advantageous but not essential.
