Ops Analyst MKTS - Corporate Action Specialist: Asset Services

EMEA Asset Services have an exciting opportunity for an eager, assiduous and analytical individual. The department support a wide variety of different business units including Prime Brokerage, Proprietary Trading, Stock Lending, SWAP and Custody. The role offers a great opportunity to get exposure to varies lines of business as well as offering extensive learning opportunities.

Dublin Asset Services is a globally aligned function reporting to the Global Head of Asset Services, Brian Morris, and are responsible for corporate action event types relating to equity and debt products. The teams works closely with colleagues in various global locations including London, US and Asia. The Corporate Actions team is a dynamic team strategically aligned within the department to provide accurate and timely European Corporate Action entitlements for the businesses we support. The team strive to provide our stakeholders with a high level of service at all times and the role allows for interactions with clients and traders alike.

Responsibilities Include:
• Collate, understand and correctly interpret terms for mandatory and voluntary corporate actions.
• Reconcile positions and posting  entitlements, reconciling back office system to agent/counterparties.
• Monitor incoming queries to ensure they are answered accurately and on a timely basis.
• Manage relationships with key stakeholders internal and external.
• Timely reconciliation of cash and position breaks.
• Escalation of risk where necessary.
• Maintain risk within the levels set by the management team.
• Liaising with and resolving asset servicing related queries for clients, internal and external.
• Contribute to the culture of operational excellence by demonstrating focus on creating a more efficient process while reducing risk.
• Timely management of positions and recovery of funds claimed by Bank of America Merrill Lynch from external counterparties and monitoring of outstanding balances.
