Summary of role:

The Analytics function within the Data & Analytics Centre of Excellence, are responsible for the delivery of Analytics across the organisation. We lead and drive value from AIB’s data, leverage a diverse and advanced analytics toolset, to deliver business benefit and inform decision making. We support and enable a wide range of internal and external Stakeholders. We comprise of a diverse mix of skills, from Data Scientists, Data Engineers, Data Analysts, Reporting Analysts and Advanced Analytics Specialists supporting and enabling internal and external stakeholders. The Measurement Function within Analytics is responsible delivering business intelligence, regular reporting and the measurement of ongoing business performance, across AIB Group.

 

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Perform data exploration on disparate data (structured and unstructured) sources.
  • Design and develop data solutions from complex reporting requirements, including solving for data gaps and anomalies, to inform decision making and to improve business process.
  • Delivery of reports, dashboards and data visualisations to internal and external stakeholders, while maintaining integrity of data used in key performance indicators.
  • Produce visualisations to tell the story of the data.
  • Collaborate and engage with end users and stakeholders across the organisation to understand the business behind the data, help define KPI’s, and influence the desired results.
  • Support a continuous improvement culture within the organisation, where innovation and creative thinking is encouraged and developed.
  • Highly numerate and passionate about data and analytics.
  • 2+ years data analyst experience, preferably within financial services organisations.
  • Excellent problem solving skills with knowledge of SQL, Qlik and / or other BI and visualisation tools.
  • Self-starter with ability to work on own initiative and strong attention to detail, completing tasks to a very high degree of accuracy.
  • Follow best practices on design and development approach, and visualisation outputs.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to new environments and to gain an understanding of new processes, applications and procedures.
  • Experience with presentations and communicating results to others. Experience in Data modelling and visualisation tools an advantage.
  • Academic qualification in the following disciplines e.g., science, mathematics, applied mathematics, physics, statistics, engineering, econometrics. (or equivalent degree plus relative experience)
