MDM Analyst

A vacancy has arisen for an MDM Analyst at Glanbia Business Services based in Citywest, Dublin. This is a permanent position will report to the MDM Process Compliance Lead. 

 

While likely to be initially working remotely due to current restrictions, the base location of the role will be Citywest, Dublin 24, upon return to the workplace with a blended working arrangement available through our Smart working model which allows you a greater choice in how you work and live, giving you a better work-life balance.

 

Role Summary

This is a global master data role interacting with all divisions within the Glanbia organisation.  The role encompasses customer, supplier/vendor and material master data. This role is not a day to day data administration role but offers a huge potential to build upon existing master data administration/analysis experience and will provide the successful candidate with the opportunity to:
•    Learn and be mentored to develop a greater understanding of the more technical side of master data within SAP
•    Developing a deep understanding of the role of SAP master data in Glanbia systems
•    Understand techniques for analysis of master data 

Key Elements of the role:


Business support
•    Analyse, investigate, and solve master data problems associated with SAP and its integrated systems
•    Management of mass data changes to data while ensuring data integrity 
•    Supporting Master data Senior Analysts on key strategic system projects – data conversion, system testing, training documentation, post go live support.
 

Data governance, data quality and associated reporting
•    Liaising with business unit data stewards to ensure adherence to master data governance principles.
•    Work with Business Units to ensure integrity of master data and maintain master data standards
•    Develop new master data standards where new business requirements arise
•    Monthly reporting on data quality, data accuracy, master data access and process compliance.
•    Preparation of monthly reporting on master data governance team activities.

Qualifications
•    Bachelor’s Degree and/or relevant experience and training

Must have:
•    3-5 years’ experience working in a master data role in an SAP environment 
•    Demonstrated understanding of SAP master data in at least two SAP functional areas
•    Proven track record with managing large volumes of master data in complex environments
•    A solid understanding of data quality
 

Desirable:
•    Preferably have some experience with testing in an SAP environment
