As an IT Business Intermediate Analyst / Project Manager, you will be responsible for liaising between business users and technologists to exchange information in a concise, logical and understandable way in coordination with the Technology team while managing the programme deliverable. Over time, you will be learning one of the more complex areas of finance. In order for you to gain subject matter expertise, your role will initially have a greater focus on product documentation and on helping the production services team handle product issues.

You would be part of the Information Services Group, which is leading an exciting strategic data centric initiative. The application in scope is a corporate actions announcement capture and dissemination platform for internal data consumers. It provides a central source of information that enables various Citi businesses to make trading decisions, communicate early and accurately to clients and to process payments and instructions safely. You will gain an understanding of each business, from trading to investment banking to custodians and fund managers, in order to meet their requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Communicate key concepts clearly to audiences of varied outlook and experience. Exhibit sound understanding of concepts and principles in own area and a basic knowledge of concepts and principles in other technology areas.
• Apply comprehensive understanding of how multiple areas collectively integrate to contribute towards achieving business goals.
• Act as advisor or coach to new or lower level employees. Provide evaluative judgment based on analysis of factual information in complicated and unique situations.
• Directly impact the business by ensuring the quality of work provided by self and others; impacting own team and closely related work teams. Exhibit sound and comprehensive communication and diplomacy skills to exchange complex information.
• Manage project requirements and drive business, functional and/or system/platform changes.
• Analyze data, define technical solutions and assist in redesigning and automating business processes
• Demonstrate functional solutions to users and runs test cycles including: providing test cases, executing test scripts, defect remediation and ensuring UAT is carried out and signed off safely and on time.
• Work closely with Business Analysts, Project Managers, Product, Operations and Technology Stakeholders to develop, track and report business led project plans with cross program interdependencies.
• Identify tactical and strategic solutions for resolution of issues and risks or business optimisation.
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience.
• Strong IT skills (must have strong SQL; Unix, Scripting, Java or Visual Basic would be advantageous)
• Knowledge of Financial Systems, particularly Asset Management, Funds or Asset Servicing
• Knowledge of Corporate Actions would be highly advantageous
• Experience in stakeholder management as well as data analysis or systems integration
• Consistently passionate for research, ideation and exploration with understanding of business analysis procedures and concepts
• Any recognised industry qualifications (Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), etc.) would be advantageous.
