What you will do
The IT Business Analyst / Data Analyst is a business-facing IT analyst position accountable for the successful delivery of IT investments that enable analytics across the EMEA&LA Business. You will be approaching business and acquiring information in order to interpret, analyze and present findings to help business to make better decisions. We expect you to know the advanced math, systematic techniques, standard formulas and methods to analyze relevant information.

 
How you will do it

• Support alignment of strategic and tactical business objectives with corresponding IT objectives, partnered with business stakeholders and enterprise IT colleagues
• Support business risk management, regulatory compliance (ex: Sarbanes-Oxley), Information Security, and audit remediation activities
• Identify opportunities for leveraging data analytics to deliver value to business
• Assess the effectiveness of data sources and data-gathering techniques and improve data collection methods
• Participate in ideation activities to create high-level specification and roadmaps in relation to data usage. Contribute into business case creation. Participate in creation of IT Investment proposals, partnered with business stakeholders and IT Delivery colleagues
• Map business objectives and data analytics (especially predictive and prescriptive) opportunities
• Conduct discovery and document user stories, business requirements, functions, processes, and enabling technologies
• Map business data flows, including all critical data elements (e.g., supplier, input, process, output, customer)
• Recommend/conduct instructions for data cleansing activities, master data and reference data
• Work with business stakeholders and IT colleagues to develop, test, and deploy data related solutions that meet business needs and ensure successful achievement of scope, cost, schedule, quality, adoption, and value outcomes
• Maintain relevant data attributes of solutions in the Configuration Management Database (CMDB)
• Coach technical leads and developers
• Promptly escalate issues, which affect product delivery and quality that are beyond the scope of influence and provide escalation support to the partners for complex issues
• Support governance and quality principles, methodologies and objective

• Experienced Data (Business) Analyst with at least 2 years of proven data related projects (migration, interface, advanced data analytics)
• Deep understanding and knowledge of data analysis, math & statistics, reporting
• Good understanding of Business Change Management
• Experience working with Developers or Business SMEs
• Interpersonal skills to interact with various business data owners
• Best practices on data management and data governance
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Proven track record on working in a cross-cultural environment
• Effective listening skills in order to understand the requirements of the business
• Teamworking skills and a collaborative approach to sharing ideas and finding solutions
• An independent and motivated individual and requires little supervision and demonstrates sound judgment and decision-making skills
• Preferred:
• Master’s Degree in IT
• Experience in manufacturing, engineering or service sector
• Experience working in large multinational corporation
• Communication and presentation skills in order to explain your work to people who don't understand the mechanics behind data analysis
• Experience with coaching technical leads and developers
• Agile or Scrum certification
• Experience in process optimization/standardization in complex matrix international organisations
• Drive and the resilience to try new ideas if the first one doesn't work
