Inventory Control Analyst

We are looking for an Inventory Control Analyst to join the logistics team of Hiab. The purpose of the position is to monitor all inventories and to minimise redundant stock due to sales fluctuations, ECO changes and quality dispositions. Inventory Control Analyst ensures the accuracy of all inventory on site and pursues continuous improvement initiatives, which seek to drive down costs and create a world-class environment within Cargotec.
This position reports to Inventory Manager and is part of Hiab’s Truck Mounted Forklifts Division. The location of this position is Dundalk, Ireland.

 

Main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Ensures inventory accuracy and identify inconsistencies
  • Establishes, monitors and improves processes for controlling and accurately reporting inventory
  • Performs trend analysis on inventory management and communicates and drives resolution to any issues affecting inventory performance
  • Review daily inventory reports from LN system to identify variances, conduct analysis to root cause the source of these discrepancies
  • Proactively communicates on delayed reports/data sets, or issues affecting ability to conduct daily work effectively
  • Conduct trend analysis identifying major issues and their root causes. Provide detailed root cause analysis and update KPI’s and metrics
  • Provide support for service demand by reporting shortages and keeping OTD adherence
  • Perform cycle counts and physical inventories and responsible for annual stock take
  • Responsible for the inventory integrity of all Warehouse and WIP locations
  • Provide continuous improvement feedback and implement processes accordingly.
  • egree in Engineering or Business is desired
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working within a manufacturing environment, supply chain, operations and integrated planning systems.
  • Experience with the LN, Oracle, SAP or other ERP system
  • Strong data analytical skills required
  • Self-starter, able to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment, interacting with multiple business areas
  • Experience with Microsoft Office/Excel spreadsheet preparation and analysis
  • Sense of urgency; understanding of business environment & need to meet deadlines
  • Demonstrates ability to handle scenarios where data or instructions are incomplete
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • APICS / IIPMM desired but not essential.
