Eolas are working with a large corporate firm who are growing the company and diversifying their business for the future. The company is a well established firm operating for over 100 years and this is a key role as part of their group IT Team. They are looking for a Head of Business Applications which is essential to the development and enhancement of key business applications. Ideally you should have a deep and broad technical background covering databases, ERP, financial applications and be able to operate at strategic level with senior management. This role will report directly into the group CIO.
Role:
- Be a key part of the group IT Management team
- Managing all levels of business application support for financial, retail, operational and MI systems for the group
- Have good project management skills and a solid application delivery background
- Engaging in the development of IT strategy and work directly with the group CIO
- Strong System integration and Vendor Management skills required
- Good relationship management skills and able to work with senior business stakeholders
- Manage a small internal team and manage all 3rd party global vendors
- 10+ years commercial experience with 5 years minimum working with large scale business applications.
- Strong experience of ERP Financial systems is needed to work with the business
- Some who is hands on and still technical in nature is required. Some architectural skills would be great but you will still need to be strong in coding with SQL.
- Extensive experience and deep understanding of relational databases such as Oracle or SQL Server
- Knowledge of BI and Reporting systems is required
- Proven track record delivering business solutions
- Understanding of project management techniques
