Google Tag Manager & Analytics Technical Specialist

Key Responsibilities & Duties Include:

  • Data Analytics and Tracking Solutions for web and app
  • Implement digital analytics solutions across web and app technologies. Ensure accurate implementation of all trackers and tags within GTM, often working on complex and custom tagging solutions.
  • Understand business objectives, data questions, and site-tagging problems to ensure accuracy
  • Interpret complex business needs and translate into requirements and data specifications for technical solutions.
  • Work with technical teams and BA’s to create analytics and tracking requirements for all projects, contribute to user stories and support testing of all tagging and analytics user stories.
  • Work and collaborate with external vendors to implement, test and deploy all 3rd party marketing trackers
  • Partner with tech and product teams to ensure that all enhancements deployed to the digital platforms are properly tagged, perform acceptance testing for analytics tags and troubleshooting of tracking issues
  • Support the automation of Web and Mobile analytics testing processes and procedures

Advanced Data Marketing Techniques

  • Advise and support the commercial teams in their use of Google Analytics and other analytics platforms, guiding them on solutions to their data and reporting needs
  • Support the digital marketing team in the set-up of audiences and attribution models and other new google products and features
  • As a data and analytics expert, you will provide training and support to key business areas around google analytics, advanced reporting, best practice and new tools and techniques.
  • Support the data analysts in their role of reporting and analysing data, ensuring data accuracy, troubleshooting any issues with data tracking, and in their use of Big Query and other advanced tools and techniques

Key Competencies/Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Technology related field and/or equivalent work experience.
  • Good standard of Javascript, HTML and experience in basic Unit Testing
  • 3+ years of experience in Google Tag Manager and previous experience in Firebase
  • Strong communication skills and technical understanding to be able to work with and communicate with software engineers
  • Google Tag Manager certification preferable
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken
  • Eligible to live and work in the EU
