Global Distribution Strategy - Senior Analyst

The Global Distribution Strategy Centre of Excellence (GDS COE) team is responsible for driving a best-in-class go-to-market (GTM) model for Salesforce and providing company leadership with accurate and thoughtful insights to inform GTM decisions that accelerate growth. The GDS COE is organised into four teams:

  • Pipeline, Forecast, Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) Insights
  • GTM Planning and Analysis
  • Analytics, Community, and Strategic Projects
  • Customer Success Group (CSG) Planning and Analysis

We are looking for a Senior Analyst to join the Analytics, Community, and Strategic Projects team. This team member will work cross-functionally across business and technical teams to develop tools & best practices used by sales leaders, strategy & operations specialists, program managers, and enablement experts. The successful candidate will be someone who enjoys diving into complex datasets, has excellent analytical skills, and is comfortable communicating insights in a concise way to non-technical and/or senior audiences.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Translate business requirements into technical deliverables and work with visualisation and data engineers to drive the creation & adoption of tools (e.g., analysis, dashboards, and datasets) that enable data-informed decision-making at scale.
  • Ensure desired business outcomes are met by tools (e.g., accurate measurement of sales performance), through running quality control tests, gathering audience requirement/feedback, and driving enablement content at scale (e.g., release comms, demo videos).
  • Partner closely with sales, marketing, programs, and product strategy teams, as well as other cross-functional teams, to develop best practices and identify actionable insights based on well-articulated needs/gaps (e.g., influencing factors of AE productivity)
  • Developing the frameworks and standards (e.g., dataset automation strategy, frameworks based on statistical insights, requirements documentation standards; dashboard look-and-feel) to drive a unified user experience at scale.
  • Driving user adoption and facilitating sales community engagement by creating and running programs (e.g., enablement sessions, community events).

Ideal candidates will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of relevant experience (e.g., product management, econometrics, data science, engineering, finance, sales strategy & operations)
  • Proven track record of owning and delivering cross organisational and technical projects.
  • Curiosity & empathy to understand user experiences, to ask tough questions, and drive desired business outcomes.
  • Ability to identify critical paths within project lifecycle, balance technical limitations against business needs, and communicate trade-offs to an executive audience.
  • Critical thinking, attention to detail, business acumen, and strong communication skills
  • High proficiency in SQL / Python or R / Microsoft Office or Google Docs / Project Management Tools
  • Strong understanding of relational tables and Boolean logic; bonus points for prior experience in Tableau, Tableau CRM, or other BI and ETL tools
