Role Description

This role is part of the Data Analytics team based in Dublin, within Hedge Fund Services. The Broker Connectivity team supports Fund Accounting by ensuring that 3rd party data is available in our reconciliation systems in a timely manner. This is to allow our teams to review and verify the client’s data against independently sourced 3rd party data. Typical tasks include negotiating and securing access to appropriate data from 3rd parties, mapping to achieve high matching levels and regular monitoring to ensure the quality and timeliness of the data. The role requires an intense focus on automation and high level of audit-awareness.

Tasks included but are not limited to:

• Sourcing and review of new data files from counterparties.
• Offline analysis of files to confirm all activity records correlate to balance movements.
• Setup of file receipt & data flows & monitor directories for file processing failures.
• Performing Notional, Cash Balance and Position reconciliations of 3rd party data files.
• Mapping all broker data through Xceptor for load to the reconciliation.
• Investigate and resolve any mapping and data related issues
• Review end state data in the reconciliation to diagnose & resolve issues in upstream processes.
• Identify potential areas for further automation and efficiencies.
• Keep all stakeholders informed of issues as they arise and point out potential solutions.
• Perform functional testing of the Connectivity toolset.

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft suite especially Excel
• Experience of working with an ETL tool
• Excellent understanding and working knowledge of reconciliation processes
• 5 years + Operations experience in the Funds Industry
• Experience of working internationally and cross culturally
• Knowledge of Derivatives and OTC Products
