Responsibilities
Role Description:
This role is for an Apps Dev Sr. Programmer Analyst within the GIW. The candidate will work on existing applications and frameworks for data delivery (GIW) and will be responsible for design and development of new models and frameworks, and delivering on business use cases as our data strategy is developed further. The role is within a technology group, but involves engagement with business and understanding of operating environments.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (in Science, Computers, Information Technology or Engineering)
- At least 7 years overall IT experience with 2+ years in a team lead role with experience on large & complex projects
Technical / Functional Proficiency:
- Experience in leading and developing staff in a Technical Development environment
- Ab Initio or Talend ETL experience is required, as is exposure to ecosystem technologies such as unix, linux and window-based platforms
- Data Warehouse/ETL design and development methodologies knowledge and experience required
- Broad cross-functional IT experience in application development and interface design is essential
- Must have sound operating knowhow of databases Oracle (preferable) and Linux. Expertise in developing shell and Unix scripting
- Expertise in management and troubleshooting of ETL, SQL and Unix scripts
- Experience in benchmarking, throughput and performance analysis
- Experience with developing frameworks and utility services including logging/monitoring
- 6+ years of Oracle and/or MYSQL database application development experience
- Agile development processes experiences a plus
- Financial Services domain expertise is a plus
- Experience working in Banking technology is preferred
- Experience in working Unix/Linux and Shell scripting
- Exposure: Working on JMS / MQ applications.
- Exposure: UI/web programming languages (such as JavaScript, JSP, Angular JS)
