Director of Sales, UK & Ireland

We’re searching for a visionary leader to lead HubSpot’s sales organization in the UK & Ireland. Working directly with the EMEA VP of Sales, you will be responsible for managing and accelerating the growth of our business. This is an exciting opportunity for a results-driven sales leader to join a high-growth company, and help build a multi-product business as we continue to evolve into a unified front office platform company. In this role, you will also implement our world-class sales methodology within your team and coach and develop your sales managers to help ensure their teams achieve their monthly revenue and growth goals. In addition, you will work closely with the EMEA executive management team, marketing team, sales training team and recruiting team on helping drive regional and global company initiatives and deliver overall business success.

In this role, you’ll get to:

  • Inspire, lead, and drive the sales team to meet or exceed all sales goals, and other expectations established by executive leadership
  • Drive and manage individual and team performance
  • Accurately forecast monthly, quarterly, and annual recurring revenue
  • Initiate, drive, support and influence the sales strategy
  • Align and collaborate with marketing to optimise demand generation and sales growth
  • Set the vision for the sales teams and establish a management system to ensure execution of the sales strategies
  • Be accountable for business growth and achieving overall metrics (revenue, retention, budget, customer and employee satisfaction etc.)
  • Work collaboratively with other Sales leaders and cross-functionally with other leaders to ensure alignment across businesses.
  • Inspire and support sales managers to enable their teams meet monthly goals
  • Attract and grow the best sales talent across the UK and Ireland through effective recruiting, selecting and training methods
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge of Inbound and HubSpot
  • Demonstrate HubSpot’s core values and foster an inclusive team culture 
  • Willing to travel (5-10% of time) to visit customers across the UK and Ireland, Cambridge HQ and off-site visits - any travel asks will always be mindful of individuals’ personal or domestic commitments
  • 7+ years of experience in a sales management role, ideally in a global, scaling technology company.  SaaS experience is also valuable but not a requirement.
  • Successful track record of managing managers and the associated organisation under them
  • A proven ability to think strategically and collaborate with leadership to define and implement successful sales programs
  • An entrepreneurial and curious spirit with initiative and drive to pursue new ideas

  • Strong change management and communication skills
  • Strong track record of using data to inform decision making
  • Strong coaching and people management skills - ability to motivate, guide and lead a team towards successful outcomes while maintaining high employee morale
