Description

Gartner is seeking a senior-level research analyst who will develop research and provide targeted advice for Technology & Service Provider (TSP) product and business executive clients.  You will advise General Managers (CTO’s, CDO’s, CIO’s) and executive-level product leaders. Your focus therein lies on their application development as well as product integration and business strategies relative to trends such as Composable Business (e.g. microservices), Hyper-automation and other emerging market trends related to distributed application architectures. In this role you will develop thought-leading research that addresses relevant emerging technologies, markets and business models.

• 10-15 years experience working as a product/business leader at an application software / SaaS provider – ideally with application “platforms” (e.g. Analytics), application development/ integration platforms, or related offerings
• Experience working with senior executives of large or mid-sized software companies
• Excellent writing and data visualization skills
• Proven understanding of different software/SaaS business models
• Architectural mindset with a strategic systems-level perspective
• The ability to derive blend qualitative “trend” analysis of emerging technologies and communicating implications and recommendations at an executive and strategic level
• Proven executive communication skills as evidenced by prior work experience presenting to or advising senior executives, investors, boards, or industry peers
• Strong work ethic, working both independently and in a team environment.
• Strong project and time management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or related field as well as MBA (or equivalent) preferred
