he Digital Marketing Assistant plays a crucial role in the Communications Team by developing strong and innovative digital marketing strategies, using SEO, PPC, and other techniques to drive traffic to NCBI website and social media channels. These strategies aim to generate awareness/interest in NCBI services and products using a combination of digital communication tactics. The All duties within this role will be carried out in compliance with NCBI Vision, Mission and Values.

Social Media Channels
- Develop engaging online content for different social media channels and monitor the analytics to measure effectiveness.
- Responsible for NCBI social media calendar.
- Manage and assist Facebook and Google Ad campaigns with creative writing and imagery.
- Keep up to date on new social media sites, web technologies, and digital marketing trends.
- Support the Communications Team and other NCBI departments in content creation and event promotion to promote all aspects of NCBI work.
Website and Digital Presence
- Maximise traffic to NCBI website through updating content regularly.
- Upskill and train colleagues on managing events and updating content on website.
- Develop and implement SEO, finding the right keywords and content.
- Use Google Analytics, Google Ads, and other relevant sites.
- Manage email marketing campaigns using Mailchimp and Salesforce to deliver our quarterly magazine and monthly newsletter, design templates and provide reports post campaigns.
Design and Creativity
- Design promotional materials such as posters, leaflets and booklets for internal departments ensuring full compliance with Clear Print Guidelines.
- Produce and edit videos and be responsible for NCBI YouTube channel.
- Edit Podcasts and be responsible for BuzzSprout Account (which includes Spotify, Apple podcasts, Google podcasts, Overcast, Stitcher, iHeart Radio, Deezer etc).
- Qualification in Marketing, Digital Marketing and Strategy or related disciplines
- 3+ years’ experience in digital marketing, social media management, communications or relevant disciplines.
- Experience of website management using Wordpress and content creation in line with brand voice and style.
- Proficient in SEO, PPC, Google Ads, Content Management Systems, Photoshop, Illustrator, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Premiere Pro and Canva.
- A demonstrated track record in planning and executing digital campaigns including paid social media ads and analysing analytics to assess effectiveness.
- Good experience of CRM systems (Salesforce) and their integration into websites.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Creative with design and editing experience.
- Self-Motivated, Team-Oriented, strong attention to detail.
- An ability to prioritise and schedule tasks appropriately so as to make deadlines.
