Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage complex investigations involving large data sets and multiple stakeholders including internal legal, policy teams and government agencies
• Monitor complex  data sets for indicators of fraud and other potential criminal activity
• Utilize  available in-house tools to augment your data analysis (Tableau, Alteryx, SQL, Excel, etc)
• Track, analyze and accurately respond to a variety of legal requests for user data working directly with law enforcement authorities, government agencies and court officials including search warrants, court orders, subpoenas, and international requests. 
• Work with internal stakeholders to refer relevant criminal matters to law enforcement authorities
• Strong knowledge of the online criminal ecosystem, tools and tactics and experience identifying and attributing criminals
• Work closely with Legal teams on response to law enforcement authorities, regulators and legislators requests
• Partner in the development and execution of policies relating to the processing of external legal requests

• Experience in risk management, fraud prevention, tech trust & safety, law enforcement, diplomacy, military, emergency response, private security, intelligence or related fields
• Knowledge and experience related to data protection legislation and online investigations
• Knowledge of  risk vectors that occur within marketplace companies like Airbnb is a plus, especially marketplace companies that operate in the real world (Uber, Lyft, Offerup, etc)
• Experience working with data protection authorities, financial institutions, and policing agencies
• Flexibility and willingness to work alternative schedules, in order to support emergency matters and interact with company employees based globally
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• A self starter who enjoys working in an unstructured environment
• Demonstrated ability to solve problems using data
• Advanced knowledge of SQL (Presto)
• Intermediate knowledge of MS Excel (VLOOKUP, pivots)
• Experience with R or Python a plus
• Demonstrated knowledge of statistics a plus
• Build a dashboard to visualize data in excel or another tool
• Domain expertise in fraud, crime, military, or intelligence is a plus
• Experience using intelligence tools like network analysis and geospatial analysis tools
