Data Engineer

Your role

  • Design, build, install, test and maintain data management systems
  • Support the development of high-performance algorithms, predictive models, and prototypes
  • Ensure that all systems meet the business/company requirements as well as industry practices
  • Integrate up-and-coming data management and software engineering technologies into existing data structures
  • Develop set processes for data mining, data modelling, and data production
  • Create custom software components and analytics applications
  • Research new uses for existing data
  • Employ an array of technological languages and tools to connect systems together
  • Collaborate with members of your team (e.g. Data Architects, Data Scientists, BI Analysts) on the project’s goals
  • Recommend different ways to constantly improve data reliability and quality

If you have lived outside the Republic of Ireland for more than 6 months you will also be required to hold a current police disclosure certificate from that country/countries

  • Five years of experience in data integration or data platform development
  • Extensive experience in Data Warehouse development developing solutions that link multiple data sources
  • Experience with DW ETL development tools (e.g. TOAD, PL/SQL, SQL Server Integration Services)
  • Advanced SQL skills
  • Understanding of architectural principles and data integration styles
  • Understanding of various types of data models
  • Expertise in data integration tools
  • Knowledge of BI solution toolsets (Essbase, Tableau, PowerBI, OBIEE, Cognos)
  • Ability to work within a team environment to deliver best in class data management solutions
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal
  • Eligible to live and work in the EU
  • Hold a current unrestricted worldwide passport
  • Able to pass a strict airport security vetting procedure which includes a 5-year background
