Reporting to the Credit Risk Manager work collaboratively within a challenging and fast paced environment to understand the credit and fraud risks faced by Three through the analysis and monitoring of credit scorecard performance.
The Role Involves
- Working with the business to refine credit risk management practices to enable business success whilst delivering a positive customer experience
- Assess and understand the end-to-end impact that credit management practices have on the customer experience and on business performance
- As required, report to management on the performance of credit management practices including scorecards
- Becoming self sufficient in extracting data from systems e.g., SQL, data extraction and analysis
- Be responsible for assessing credit risk for all products and services, implementing management controls and reporting risk performance to management
- Report regularly to the Credit Risk Manager, Head of Governance & Security and the CFO on scorecard effectiveness and overall credit risk performance
- Equip management with tangible credit risk performance indicators that quantify risk exposure
- Working with the credit management team in Mumbai to design and implement processes for the effective assessment and management of credit escalations
- Partner with the business in setting up and monitoring early warning key risk indicators
Work within the Governance & Security team to manage all aspects of customer risks including consumer and business customers - Within the context of credit management, manage the performance of third parties working on Three’s behalf.
- Keep up to date with factors that influence the external risk environment and translate these into tangible business impacts
- Represent Governance & Security as required, on cross functional projects within the business ensuring that credit risk is taken into consideration
- Understand and introduce credit management best practices from other markets and industries
- Be responsible for the policies, procedures and controls necessary for the effective management of credit risk
- Work to introduce a program and ethos of continuous improvement across all of Three’s credit risk practices
- As a stakeholder participate in the bad debt provisioning process
- Maintain an in-depth knowledge of Three’s product portfolio with special emphasis on risk
- On an ongoing basis work to transfer knowledge and learnings within the Governance & Security team and wider business
- Occasional international travel is a requirement
- Take responsibility for own personal development

- Significant experience of credit management in a mass consumer technology based service industry Strong knowledge of financial statements including a firm understanding of how to use these to assess credit risk
- A proven ability to influence a wide variety of stakeholders utilising different styles
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Desirable Skills
- Knowledge of Mobile Telecommunications systems and processes
- Proficient in using MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.
- Experience in using SAS an advantage
- Professionally trained in a formal Project Management discipline such as PRINCE2
- Process and/or quality improvement qualification an advantage e.g. six sigma
