Business Analyst

About the role

We’re recruiting permanent Business Analysts to join our Project Management Office working with business and IT stakeholders to establish clear definition of the scope, process and business requirements on any Waterfall or Agile project and manage those requirements through to delivery. 

Experienced Business Analyst, 5 years hands on experience of analysis within the Development Lifecycle, third level degree qualification, results driven with Proactive “can do” attitude.

Reporting directly to Strategic Change Delivery Team Lead, you will manage the requirements and business design processes within large strategic and complex projects, maintaining accountability and driving resolution.

Key responsibilities include:


•    Gathering, analysing and documenting solution requirements using Business Analysis techniques to identify and capture operational, functional, financial and technical requirements 


•    Using appropriate techniques and tools to capture business and system ‘as is’ processes and working with the business and IT stakeholders to define and document ‘to be’ processes at varying levels of complexity  


•    Working effectively with solution architects, developers and test teams to understand system upgrades, enhancements or integrations and ensure requirements are interpreted correctly 


•    Facilitating requirements gathering workshops and managing follow-up activities 


•    Collaborate with client stakeholders to ensure that captured requirements are measurable, traceable, testable and have an associated business benefit/value 


•    Participate in and if required run the change management / business readiness plans and activities for successful project delivery


•    Utilising efficient and effective processes and standards in order to continuously improve quality, identify opportunities, re-engineer processes and eliminate non-value add activity

About the person

•    5 years hands-on experience of analysis within the Development Lifecycle, capturing and documenting requirements and business rules, using use cases requirements traceability, UML modelling, user stories, storyboards 


•    3rd level degree qualification, preferably quantitative/technology/computer science degree from a recognised 3rd level institute or have equivalent experience 


•    Experience using appropriate tools for business process modelling, storyboards, and requirements management/traceability


•    Solution Fit/Gap analysis and business readiness


•    Must have prior experience of SDLC, process mapping, Waterfall and agile methodologies 


•    Ability to contribute to the creation of an environment that motivates individuals to work collaboratively as a team 


•    Proactive “can do” attitude, results driven with excellent interpersonal skills, making naturally good first impressions


•    Ability to develop strong relationship with client stakeholders of all levels inspiring confidence 


•    Excellent oral and written communication skills 


•    Excellent leadership, time management, organising and planning skills with a keen attention to detail
