Business Analyst - Lending

Role overview

We are looking to recruit a Business Analyst – Lending, within the Banking Consulting Group. The individual will be responsible to engage with clients across the stages of the Project Lifecycle – Requirements gathering, Mapping processes, Solution architecture & Design through to development, UAT and deployment. The individual should be a subject matter expert in Lending domain with 6-10 years of experience as Business Analyst with lending experience for our valued client, having worked on large Lending transformation projects. The individual will work closely with Client Business/IT team & internal development and Lending product Vendor teams.

 

Role Responsibilities

  1. Participate in High Level Business & Project Review Meetings for Lending business operations application modernization projects
  2. Leverage specialized lending business knowledge for requirements gathering and documentation
  3. Define As-Is process flows, conduct gap analysis, gather business requirements, conduct peer reviews, finalize the systems specifications, and gain stakeholder approval
  4. Provide support to business teams in terms of answering questions, clarifying requirements, and resolving issues as they arise during design and development
  5. Provide support in stakeholder management and co-ordinate between client and offshore teams during credit application development initiative
  6. Provide domain support to development teams on core lending specific requirements
  7. Support testing teams in test script creation, review, and execution for the credit application modernization project
  8. Ensure that all deliverables are of high quality and standard
  9. Interacting with business owners, product teams, product vendors, other applications owners, external customers, and internal customers to identify requirements and deliver those within stipulated timelines.
  10. Provide content leadership in working with the clients in defining solutions to their business requirements.
  11. Project Manage delivery of the agreed engagement outcomes for the client.
  12. Responsible for leading High-Level Business & Project Review Meetings
  13. Work with the delivery / implementation teams to provide domain inputs and to ensure delivery and implementation of the proposed solution.
  14. Interacting with the technical team to ensure that the requirements are clear and well understood.
  15. Translating business requirement document to software requirement specifications.
  16. Review test strategy & test specifications, assist in functional testing and provide UAT/BAT support

Competencies

  1. 6-10 years of Industry experience, having worked in Tier-1 IT organizations in BFSI domain with a focus on Lending with industry experience in one or more of the following segments: Commercial Lending / Leasing, Small Business Administration (SBA) Lending, Equipment Finance, Alternative Business Lending, Consumer Lending / Leasing, Mortgage / Home Equity, Commercial Banking
  2. Solutions experience in one or more of the following Lending areas: Business Process Optimization, Credit & Portfolio Analytics, Commercial Loan Product, Commercial Lending Sales Process, Loan / Lease Origination Systems, Loan Servicing, Risk Management
  3. Should have experience in administering and running design sessions to configure the E2E credit platform that meets the Bank’s target state objectives across the Credit Value Chain / Lifecycle.
  4. Good understanding of the banking domain, applicable Lending regulatory environment
  5. Should be able to able to play catalyst role between business and IT
  6. Good communication skills with ability to lead domain discussions with BFSI customers
  7. Engineering + MBA degree is preferred
  8. The Business Analyst is responsible for understanding client's requirements, processes, and methodologies.
