PDU Cloud RAN is leading the acceleration and creation of a cloud-native Radio Access Network (RAN) product offering. This PDU contains in one organization total life-cycle capability from architecture definition to deployment in customer networks and capability to contribute to open source communities. To set ourselves up for greatness we count on our technical leaders to truly embody our business area’s three C’s, Customer Focus, Collaboration and Can-do, to drive the realization of the Ericsson Cloud RAN portfolio.

In this role you will be part of a systems analysis team with full ownership of a key aspect of our product.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform continuous analysis and requirement handling
• Deliver technical studies to architects and various partners
• Lead challenging technical discussions and workshops to support in the creation of edge technical solutions to realize the use cases for Cloud RAN

To be successful in the role you must have

• A capability to perform best in a team setting, working in a multi-cultural & international environment
• An ability to drive technical discussions and analyse & explain technical requirements and problems.
• Systems approach and solution attitude is key to this role
• Experience in Network Management systems, especially O&M (Operation & Maintenance) with an understanding of relevant use cases
• Familiarity with system architecture and system design principles
• Knowledge of emerging network management developments and a desire to learn new skills
• Familiar with Network Operations, Network Management, Radio & Transport technologies, and Mobile Core Networks
• Familiarity with Opensource initiatives (e.g. ONAP, OSM, ORAN and Standards (e.g. TMF, ETSI-MANO, 3GPP)
• Experience in developing cloud-based applications which can be deployed on cloud technologies (e.g. OpenStack, VMWare, AWS, Azure) & container technologies (e.g. Kubernetes, Docker). Knowledge of distributed systems and emerging technologies would be an added advantage.
• A bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in software/electronic engineering or related science and technology field
• 5+ years of relevant Software Development experience and proficiency in one or more languages; including Java & C++, experience in UML is an advantage
