The Red Hat Global Business Delivery (GBD) Business Finance team is looking for a Business System Analyst to join us in Ireland. In this role, you will help extend the capabilities of the GBD Finance team in Pune, India and help maintain business continuity. You will focus primarily on facilitating the GBD Sales Incentives team to maintain the Sales Incentive system. This will provide you with the opportunity to develop your quantitative analysis skills and to develop well-rounded business insights. Your success as a Sales Incentive System Analyst will depend on your ability to understand business requirements related to the domain and implement those requirements in the system. Successful applicants must reside in a country where Red Hat is registered to do business.
What you will do
Meet and coordinate with GBD Incentives team as well as stakeholders to establish project scope, system goals, and requirements
Develop, analyze, prioritize, and organize requirement specifications, data mapping, diagrams, and flowcharts for developers and testers to follow
Manage the set-up and configuration of systems
Define, deliver, and coordinate the fulfillment of testing procedures, and develop test cases to serve the overall quality assurance process
Perform design, implementation, and upgrades of the systems to meet the business and user needs
Implement best practices for scalability, supportability, ease of maintenance, and system performance
Assist in the creation of the system design and functional specifications for all new development projects
Assist in troubleshooting software application issues and change management
Identify opportunities that can improve efficiency of business processes and system processing times
What you will bring
Bachelor's degree, ideally in computer science or IT, or equivalent experience
1+ year(s) of experience working with information technologies and systems analysis.
Previous experience with creating reports
Proven ability to assess business needs and translate them into relevant solutions
Experience configuring, documenting, testing, training, and implementing new applications and systems in sales incentive or sales performance management (SPM) systems
Understanding and knowledge of the principles and practices associated with database maintenance and administration with working knowledge of SQL, Access
Knowledge of specific concepts and best practices within the SPM domain
Excellent analytical skills and problem solving skills
Motivated with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage changing priorities
Good working knowledge with Microsoft Office Products, Microsoft Visio, and Microsoft Project
Past experience on tools like Varicent (IBM ICM) or similar is a big plus
Working knowledge of a variety of programming languages is a plus
