Android Developers x 4 (2 x senior, 2 x intermediate level)

Our client is a rapidly expanding USA FinTech software company in the Tipp/Limerick region of Ireland.  This is a hybrid model role, with 1 day on site and 4 days per week working from your home office.

Working as part of a team, you will play a key role in delivering world class fintech solutions and ensure that the payment software is coded to the best possible standards. You will create better experiences for mobile payment users, and you will build, test and deploy on a continuous integrate pipeline. You will prioritize features and functionality based on data-drive criteria. You will be involved in driving holistic solutions to support multiple OS versions and device variants. You will be working as part of a global distributed development organization using Agile Scrum methods and CI/CD pipelines

 

Your role will include development and coding, unit tests, debugging with tools, defect resolution, implement for high throughput performances, estimations, and documentations and you will partner with developers, analysts, and tech leads across the enterprise, to identify business needs and appropriate technical solutions.

• Very strong and proven communication and coordination skills, open-minded and determined.
• Very organized and highly competent in solving issues and finding solutions.
• Positive "Can do, Will do" attitude and good team working skills.
• 6+ years’ experience in designing and developing Android, web, and services-based applications for the Senior role, and minimum one years similiar experience for the intermediate level roles.
• Fluent spoken English
• Strong skills and in-depth experience Java/Kotlin/Android
• Experienced in runtime, build and deployment technologies and state-of-the-art project tools: CI/CD, GIT, Maven, Eclipse, JIRA, Confluence.
• Familiar with 3rd party libraries for Android.

 

Desirable (but not essential) skills include:

• Previous experience in payments industry, specifically with EMVco, NEXO or PCI/PTS standards (NB - for candidates with strong relevant Java/Kotlin/Android experience who also have good previous experience in payments industry, our client is happy to provide sponsorship and relocation).
• Expertise in Android - understanding of the platform, experience with Android ROM is a plus.
• Be up to date with the latest Android application development trends.
• UI development, optimal performance, adaptation to various screen sizes.
• RXJava, functional programming, MVP/MVC design patterns and React Native, JavaScript.
