Job Software Developer/ Engineer/ Architect

XO Developer (UI Focus)

About the Role

In order to help us on our mission of improving product development experience, we are now looking for an XO developer who has experience building UI to join our Consumer UI development team in Dublin.

To ensure the team is agile, team members are supported in broadening their skill set. Opportunities exist to learn about unfamiliar areas of the stack. This means that besides initially taking care of the core XO work in the team, this role is a great path into a more generic full stack role with learning opportunities on the frontend and backend side.

Modern technologies are used to ensure that our products have the best possible user experience. We have a tech stack based on Java in the backend with frontends currently being developed mainly in React.

To be successful and able to hit the ground running, it would be important to have a solid base in XO development within the context of creating user interfaces. Other skills can be built up as part of the job. For this role we are looking for a self-starter who doesn’t get phased by complex challenges without being given detailed direction.

Responsibilities:

  • Work in a multi-disciplinary scrum team. Define, build, deploy and own new features
  • Collaborate with visual and interaction designers to craft the UI of the product
  • Lead the team to develop their understanding of how UI of a product is built through XO
  • Participate in technical design and architecture meetings with the team and perform peer code reviews as part of everyday workflow
  • Demonstrate technical awareness, vision and influencing skills in your interactions with the people outside your immediate team/org
  • And finally: Have fun engineering software!
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher, preferably Computer Science/Engineering
  • 2+ years’ experience developing in XO
  • 1+ years’ experience developing User Interfaces using XO
  • Proven ability to work in an agile, fast paced continuous delivery environment
