With over 2,000 public facing websites and applications in Novartis, this is a big opportunity for a Web Strategy Team Lead to join the Digital & Innovation team in Conexts, an internal Digital & Creative agency.

With websites playing such a key role as the end-destination for all OCE marketing tactics, the importance of web performance in healthcare has never been greater. Novartis are looking for an experienced Web Strategy Team Lead to join our internal team. As a web expert you will be responsible for leading a team in planning, implementing, managing, optimizing and maintaining multiple web strategies for brands across Novartis. This position will play a huge role in driving brands business growth, digital media effectiveness, organic traffic and long-term success.

As a Web Strategy Team Lead within the Creative & Digital services, you will demonstrate operational experience and manage the web enterprise program, web strategy team and oversight of web strategy implementation across multiple global brands. You will help educate Novartis Associates on the importance of web, manage senior stakeholders within the business and be a strong communicator.

Key Responsibilities

• Leading, managing and building the web strategy team as well as the development & growth of the web strategy team
• Plan, develop, implement, manage and maintain end-to-end web strategies for global brands across Novartis
• Partner with channel marketing teams (paid media, SEM, SEO, social), brand, design, engineering, product, and country leads to execute, in order to drive impact
• Working closely and collaborate with a wider SME team of web masters, web program managers, search strategists, content strategists, PPC and technical SEO analysts & delivery teams
• Develop ongoing service improvements and defining the long-term roadmap for the internal agency web services. Own business case formulation & service development process for new tools and services related to web optimization
• Lead and implement best practice frameworks when it comes to web performance including but not limited to technical analysis, content analysis, UX &UI analysis, analytics & tagging, search, data capture &consent management
• Conduct technical audits and advise on technical aspects of website design and enhancements to maximise overall web performance
• Lead all conversion rate optimization and iterative testing to drive improved performance and marketing efficiencies for brands
• Implement best in class 3rd party tools for analytics, user insights, personalization, marketing automations & landing page optimization

• 10 - 15 years of proven experience in leading a Web team, planning, managing, implementing and maintaining web assets at an Enterprise level
• Ability to analyze data and provide evidence-based recommendations Digital/technology focused projects or driving key initiatives within the digital marketing ecosystem
• Management of large web optimization and web migration projects
• Working understanding of agile methodologies and strong on process
• A strong technical background
• Good experience in managing delivery of projects across complex matrix & global environments working across
• Understanding of regulatory frameworks in pharma when it comes to web is of benefit but not essential
• Experience using Google Analytics, GTM, Moz, SEM Rush or Conductor, Lighthouse is a plus
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Drupal
