About the Team

The Workday design team is growing and we are looking to bring in a designer who can find the right balance between crafting easy-to-use experiences and compelling innovation. You will have the opportunity to work closely with a small group of other great product designers and researchers, while benefiting from the support and expertise of the larger Workday UX design team. You’ll get to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams made up of engineers, product managers, UX researchers, content strategists, and more. Together with your cross-functional partners, you’ll help drive the design process and shape a shared understanding of the problem space.

About You

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years industry experience (relevant experience will also be considered if other requirements are met)  
  • BA/BS degree in Design (e.g. interaction, graphic, visual communications, product, industrial, etc), Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science (CS) or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • A portfolio demonstrating a deep appreciation for simple, sleek, usable interfaces

Other Qualifications: 

  • Fluency in user experience fundamentals: research, wireframes, mockups, prototyping, usability testing
  • Proficiency with Figma or other modern design & prototyping tools
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate with product managers and developers about the product vision
  • You have a desire to internalise customer experiences and improve those experiences through meaningful design
  • A collaborative nature with strong communication skills, sincerity, and a desire to bring order to complex design challenges
