The Glanbia Incubation Hub are looking for a User Experience (UX) Designer to join a new and growing team. This team is dedicated to digital innovation, new value creation and improved customer experience at a world leading global nutrition group.
The role primarily involves owning UX responsibility for a focused, challenged based team. This team will work on complex problems to better understand them, explore innovative solutions and test their viability.
This is a permanent position that will offer a hybrid working model, combining remote and onsite work in our Waterside Offices, Citywest, Dublin.
About the Glanbia Incubation Hub
- The Glanbia Incubation Hub exists to dramatically simplify the process of digital innovation for Glanbia and accelerate change.
- The team will focus initially on strategic challenges facing the business globally and be tasked with investigating these from a customer/consumer perspective.
- This role will form part of the core team that will be supplemented and scaled up with relevant experts depending on the challenge.
- This flexible, empowered team will weave together Enterprise Design Thinking, Service Design, Lean UX, Agile and Modern Engineering practices.
- We will look to move quickly from the conceptual to the tangible, exploring innovative solutions, testing their viability using prototype/MVP.
- The intention is to move through this process in approx. 90 days at which point the project can be scaled and the core Incubation Hub team would shift focus to a new challenge.
Key elements of the role
- Conduct experience design activities such as UX research, interviews, and workshops to inform your design decisions.
- Synthesize research findings to craft user experiences that connect people in meaningful, enduring ways with products, services, and brands.
- Make use of scenarios and storytelling in the creation of personas, user flows, flowcharts, story mapping and low to mid-fidelity prototypes.
- Test and validate concepts with sponsor users using wireframes, mockups, and prototypes.
- You should have excellent communication skills; the ability to communicate design processes, ideas, and solutions clearly and effectively to teams and the business.
- Work collaboratively across design, technical, and business teams in an agile and fast paced environment.
- You will ask smart questions, take risks, and champion new ideas.
Skills & Experience
- Five or more years of hands-on UX design experience.
- Preference will be given to candidates who have experience in early stage innovation teams/squads.
- Deep understanding of UX design best practices and traditional design principles.
- A solid grasp of planning and conducting user research, design thinking, user testing, A/B testing, rapid prototyping, heuristic analysis, usability and accessibility concerns.
- Expertise in standard UX software such as Figma, Sketch, InVision, UXPin, Balsamiq, Framer, and the like is a must. Basic HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript skills are a plus.
- Enterprise Design Thinking qualifications would be relevant and beneficial.
