Abrivia are currently recruiting for a Technology Risk and Inspections Manager to join our client who are a Leading Financial Service Company looking to expand their Governance and Operational Resilience Division. This role is a fantastic opportunity to join the Head of Function for Technology Risk, Business Models and Operational Resilience, while creating the strategy for the management of technology risk and resilience across the financial sector.
The successful candidate will be responsible for a team who provide detailed technical expertise to clients in this risk area, to support both the financial stability of the financial sector and the supervision of individual firms.
The Role:

  • Work closely with the Head of Function to develop strategy for technology risk and resilience, to ensure appropriate oversight of these risks
  • Manage the implementation of the strategy for assessing technology risk using the appropriate tools and resources.
  • Provide training and development to the team
  • Lead team in conducting On-Site Inspections and engaging with senior management of relevant entities.
  • Lead the overall provision of technology risk specialist expertise and training across the company
  • Develop and maintain relationships within the company.
  • Provide relevant information to stakeholders within the company.

The Person:

  • At least 10 years relevant experience in the technology field.
  • Proven ability to critically assess complex issues and identifying appropriate solutions.
  • A track record in managing teams and fostering an environment where individuals can reach their full potential and are enabled to shape outcomes effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication in particular the ability to relate to senior management and staff.
  • Strong communication skills with excellent capability in managing and delivering difficult/contentious issues with regulated entities, including the ability to challenge senior management and c-suite on subjective and issues where supervisory judgement is essential.
  • A third level honors degree or professional qualification in information technology, computer science or similar.
