Technical Project Manager (Asset / Fund Management)

Our client has an immediate vacancy for a Technical Project Manager with experience working in Asset / Fund Management companies

Standard PM Responsibilities include

  • Lead the planning and implementation of projects
  • Deliver the projects on time, on budget and to the expected quality
  • Stakeholder management
  • Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables with key stakeholders
  • Identify project pre-requisites, dependencies, constraints, issues, risks and critical path and manage these proactively
  • Define project tasks and resource requirements
  • Assemble, coordinate, manage and control project resources and tasks
  • Effective communications at all levels from Executive to Team level; strong verbal and written skills required
  • Develop and maintain full scale project plans
  • Budget management, control and reporting
  • Monitor and report on project progress to all stakeholders and governance bodies
  • Provide direction and support to project team
  • Quality Assurance
  • Project Closure and Benefits Realisation review
  • Ensure all project documentation is in compliance with project management and governance standards
  • Minimum 5 years project management experience
  • Capacity to get up to speed quickly with existing project management and governance standards
  • Experience and proven ability to manage large and complex business and IT delivery projects
  • Strong leadership, communication, influencing and collaboration skills
  • Experience of Project Management and Application Delivery methodologies and deep understanding of project management functions and artefacts
  • Asset Management or other Financial Services industry experience
  • Project Management certification desirable (Prince or PMP)
