Technical Product Manager - Search Platform

As a Product Manager for our Search Platform team, you will bring to life new user experiences with high levels of relevance, performance, and reliability that support billions of searches for the biggest companies on Earth. 

Above all, we need a PM who knows how to deliver continual value to a business, making smart tradeoffs and taking calculated risks. Experience with large-scale search technologies with outstanding user experience is a plus. The PM will explore best practices in Search & Machine Learning, review tools (including open source technologies), and plan how best to fit them into Workday’s ecosystem. Senior search architects, engineering managers, and developers will depend on your leadership and insights to deliver the roadmap and fulfill a compelling vision.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other technical degree required or at least 3 years of experience at a software company in product management or a similar role
  • Ability to clearly articulate product requirements and prioritize enhancement requests
  • Always bring data-informed business cases to the forefront
  • Can get software developers excited to build on top of your product
  • Investigative approach thrives despite deep ambiguity

  • User-centric approach toward performance and reliability
  • Proven track record building highly scalable, dynamically deployed, and reliable systems
  • Experience supporting business-critical systems for large/multinational customers at scale
  • Solid understanding of operations of complex systems in private and public data centers
  • Experience with enterprise SaaS, distributed systems, in-memory object graph systems and automation technologies
