Product Designer
Vizor Software is the leader in its field of providing software products to Central Banks, Financial Regulators and Tax Authorities across the globe to enable them to supervise their jurisdictions effectively. The success of the company has seen it grow substantially in recent years, and indeed the recent global lockdown has not impacted that growth. From the outset, Vizor has always had a focus on Product Design with the function evolving more and more over the years to become a key value add to the product pipeline. Indeed, Product Design sits alongside Product Management and Product Delivery as its own discipline to ensure it gets equal focus.
The company is seeking a Product Designer, a strong self-starter, with UI/UX design skills to join our expanding design team to bring experience and a passion for continual improvement to our cross-functional team.
Working with internal and external stakeholders the successful candidate has the opportunity to come in with fresh ideas on how best to operate and put their stamp on ensuring continued excellence.

Duties:
· You will play a key role in helping to define and develop Vizor’s product portfolio, producing low fidelity wireframes and high fidelity design treatments along with documentation supporting product solutions.
· The role will require a strong focus on both product design and user experience.
· You will work as part of our product team in the analysis, definition, design and documentation of functional and technical product solutions.
· Work with the design lead, product management, and technology teams to follow and maintain a clear process for delivering designs on time, on budget, and of high quality.
· Champion design from concept to completion.
· An effective communicator and presenter, verbal, written and visual, with the ability to lead workshops and clearly articulate choices, methods and rationale.
Responsibilities:
· Work as part of the product team in the analysis, definition, design and documentation of functional and technical product solutions.
· Validate solution designs via the generation of proof of concepts and solution prototypes.
· Gain and maintain an in-depth understanding of Vizor product functionality and business use cases.
· Participate in “Design Sprints”.
· Demonstrate understanding of layout, typography and visual hierarchy.
· Demonstrate proficiency in and understanding of information architecture, multi-step and cross-platform flows. Consistently consider the user experience and potential states (errors, successes, dead-ends).
· Balance existing visual and UX patterns with platform-specific patterns to ensure a consistent, intuitive experience.
· Have a strong understanding of the vision and key objectives for each product area, taking cues from the design lead, as well as product and engineering leads. Consistently consider how the design can support that vision, the team's goals, the broader product vision and company objectives.
· Work with both internal stakeholders and external business partners/clients personnel to define and refine solution designs as well as planning.
· Provide support to product management and delivery teams (attending scrum, answering questions) and review their deliverables with internal and external parties to ensure designs meet business requirements.
· Develop and maintain our front end design system.
· Update and maintain core product documentation.
· Produce Product demonstrations for sales and marketing events.
· Assist with responses to sales tenders.
Skills/Qualifications:
Education/Certifications:
· Third-level: Honours bachelor’s degree in a design discipline or 3+ years experience in Product Design.
Experience:
· The position requires 3+ years of experience in Product Design.
· Strong practical experience in understanding and eliciting requirements.
· Experience handling several tasks at once and ability to flourish well in a high pace environment.
· Experience with front end UI frameworks.
